!! Welcome
!!
This page is dedicated to the little guys wrestling
program of Reardan-Edwall, WA.
This program, with the support of many, was started again in the area and
has been met with overwhelming success. The program currently has over 50
participating wrestlers ranging from age 4 (soon to be five) to 14. We hope
that the success of this program continues to merit approval from the Community
and Reardan-Edwall School District.
Our First Annual Awards Banquet was held on March 30, 1999. It was
a huge success. The Reardan-Edwall School Multi-Purpose room was almost packed.
All the wrestlers were recognized by their coaches for their accomplishments
during the year and the coaches and sponsors were recognized as well. Coach
Heidt hosted the event and did a super job as usual.

'Quotes'
to think about
Skill to do comes of doing.
--Emerson
No one knows what he can do till he tries.
--Publilius Syrus
The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not to deter
us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.
--Lincoln
On the lighter side:
Thrusting my nose firmly between his teeth, I threw him heavily to the
ground on top of me.

My Personal Note:
What it takes to be a 'GREAT' little guy coach?
There are many virtues to being a 'GREAT' coach, but there are two that
stand out when it comes to little guy wrestling. These are firmness and patience.
Firmness: so that the little mat'ers learn what they need and have
discipline so they may represent the team with pride.
Patience: Well, after all, some are only four years old.
How does one possess both while not causing them to be an oxymoron?
I can't say, you'll have to ask our
Coach Heidt
how he does it.
Oh yes, two more very important points, one needs to have a love for
and experienced the sport of wrestling.
